These beautiful, large desert pythons are rarely seen, in many areas they are likely naturally scarce, owing to their size and status as a predator near the top of food webs. We found this indiviudal in the Tanami Desert in 2018, and have not yet seen another despite extensive time spent in areas where they are thought to occur.
