Southern Cassowary

A male southern cassowary from the Daintree region of Queensland kept a careful eye on us as we walked along a creek line in his domain. The reason for his vigilance was hidden behind his feet, two chicks, absolutely adorable, masquerading as balls of fluff. Having captured this image we swiftly left them in peace.
