Flock Bronzewing
Phaps histrionica
Flock bronzewings once roamed the Barkly plains in vast, unimaginable numbers, hence the inclusion of 'flock' in their name. Today they are still seen regularly, though rarely in flocks numbering more than a few dozen birds. Their decline is likely linked to changes in vegetation structure and possibly nest trampling by cattle.
